Theme Song

Because we are mammals
we illuminate glasses of milk

We make wine and play the triangle
whose corners ring through us to the night

We are mammals in the kitchen
and on the stairs

And half the house is the emptiness
they built to make room

for an audience of mammals
We cannot record the distance

between us and the forest
but we imagine

when our characters imagine
it’s probably not too far
