FAQs

We'll send you an email to confirm we got your submission. If you don't hear from us within a couple of days, it means your story may not have made it to us.

Anyone can write on Short Stories. Whether you’ve never written before or are ready to create a full publication, it’s easy to get started. We embrace an inclusive approach to submissions, valuing the discovery of emerging voices.

Our focus is on short stories, exclusively. We kindly request that submissions do not include excerpts from novels, unless the piece can stand on its own as a complete work or works in progress.

Rather than imposing strict word limits, our aim is to receive and showcase any pieces that authors genuinely perceive to be short stories.

Every submission we receive is carefully read and evaluated solely based on the quality of the writing, without consideration of the author's commercial background.

Because of the large number of submissions, we don’t guarantee a time period, we will send you an email once your story has been successfully added to the platform.

Failure to adhere to the terms will result in your submission being denied.

Anyone on the internet can read your stories.

No, we do not require exclusive use of your submissions.

On the contrary, our platform and author pages serve as focal points for readers, while also creating opportunities for other publishers to connect with you. We believe in fostering a dynamic environment where your work can reach a wide audience, engage with readers, and potentially attract the attention of other publishers.

We understand the importance of protecting your creative work from potential copyright infringement, especially in the public sphere. We strongly recommend taking proactive measures to establish and assert your rights as the rightful copyright holder of your work.

While discussions surrounding copyright enforcement in the digital realm continue to evolve, there are effective strategies to ensure your position as the original author is acknowledged if any infringement is identified. To assist you in this endeavour, we recommend referring to the following sites that provide valuable information on copyright protection in different regions across the globe:

Please be aware that we are unable to offer advice on copyright protection; if you have concerns, we advise that you speak with a lawyer.

If this becomes necessary, individual or all works can be taken down within two weeks of contacting us.
