Kirsten, originally from Scotland, has lived in Durban, South Africa since 2009. She works for a non profit organisation which focuses on empowering young people with life skills and facilitating spaces where they can discover their unique potential. She has BA Honours in English Literature from the University of Stirling. While she herself is passionate about writing, she has recently begun facilitating writing workshops to empower and equip new writers from Africa and beyond. She has previously written creative non-fiction pieces and poetry. Recently she has begun focusing on fiction.
