Stephen McClure

Stephen McClure is a Tokyo-based writer, editor and narrator. McClure is a native of Vancouver, Canada, and has lived in Japan since 1985. From 1991 until 1999 McClure was Billboard magazine’s Japan bureau chief, and its Asia bureau chief from 1999 until 2008. In 1998 he published “Nippon Pop,” the first book in English on Japanese pop music. McClure has written about Japanese culture and society for a wide variety of publications, as well as working as a TV and radio broadcaster.
